That ability to touch base with your peers is amazing. Regarding speaking: that would be awesome if that ever happened. Remind me to sound more interesting about the things I blog about. I sure hope 007 Squirrel survives this death trap to code another day. As for An Event Apart, it is an awesome conference. It was the first ever web-related conference I'd ever been to and the chance to network with people there was great. Coming from a job where there is only one other designer and no web-geeks it really helped to learn new stuff (or re-affirm that I was on the right track in some stuff). And when one of the hosts is willing to autograph your book for you, you know you're in the right place... (yeah, my wife made fun of me for that one.)
